Every child deserves a great education.

In Charleston County, 80% of African American third graders are not reading on grade level, while fewer than 40% of all 8th grade students are proficient in math. More than half of our schools will be rated “below average” or “unsatisfactory” on state report cards. The crisis is clear, and the neglect of our students requires our unwavering focus.

$920M

Dollars managed by Charleston County school board members

As voters, we must elect Board members qualified to balance this budget. Join us in supporting candidates ready for this challenge.

10,000

Students in schools failing to get grade-level performance from most students

The Board is renowned for dysfunction and petty politics, while our students wait for change. We can change this by supporting and electing Board leaders committed to change.

47th

South carolina's state ranking for 4th grade reading in 2017

Failing schools are keeping thousands of kids in our state from reaching their potential. We must advocate for attention to our broken school system.
